Dante, a half-demon, half-human mercenary specializing in devil hunting, is hired as the bodyguard of Patty, a young orphaned girl who is the heir to a large fortune. He protects her from the numerous demons set to kill her, but feels something amiss in this job.

A man receives a visit from a demonic mask which claims to fulfill any wish he desires. The wishes he wants to make aren’t made true, and instead, something he didn’t want to happen is wished for, and the man ends up in a prison, deemed impossible to escape. Dante is hired by a guest from the past to get him out of the prison, and has to find a means of dealing with the wishmaking demon.

Watch Devil May Cry Episodes Online – The series is based on the manga and novel volumes, and sees the return of series regulars, Trish and Lady.

In the show, Dante runs his devil-hunting business, Devil May Cry, while struggling under constant financial debt. There are also two new regular characters – Dante’s agent Morrison who visits frequently, and Patty Rowell(Royale in Japanese), a young orphan girl he saved in the first episode, who also visits frequently and shares a father-daughter relationship.

While the show’s stories were mostly self-contained, a season-long plot was introduced in the first episode and came to the forefront in episodes 10-12.

Final episode of Devil May Cry… With Dante impaled and crucified in the demon dimension, Lady and Trish fight the invasion of devils in the human world while Patty attempts to retrieve Dante. Dante returns, and despite Sid’s power, defeats him. In the epilogue, Dante, Lady, and Trish leave on the same mission while Patty comes to Dante’s office, determined to clean up his mess.

Dante is attacked by Barusa, a former servant of Sparda who seeks the chance to battle the Legendary Dark Knight. In the meantime, Barusa’s brother tries to find a way to prevent the fight between Dante and Barusa. Dante defeats Barusa and subsequently kills his enraged brother.

A man named Aaron insists that Dante is his childhood friend Tony and that he and his mother used to live in a small town before being banished by the town folks after a devil attacked the town twenty years ago. Dante slays the devil responsible for the trouble in the town, but continues to deny that he was the man’s childhood friend.

Dante is offered a job from his acquaintance Lady, another demon hunter. He refuses as usual, but is forced to go after losing her bet. Dante ends up having to race a man named Vincent, who lost his brother to the highway. While the two race, Vincent sees a vision of his brother speeding in front of him, but Dante realizes that it is an illusion. After destroying the bridge and having Vincent move to the side, Dante and Lady finish off the demon bike. Vincent thanks Dante at the Devil May Cry later, and requests another race with him. Dante agrees to, but only if he can win his bet…
